About Mrs. Duckett
Mrs. Duckett earned her B.B.A in Management and Computer Information Systems at the University of Texas-El Paso in 1989. She graduated during a recession and worked in odd jobs such as retail and restaurant management. She then started as a substitute teacher where she found her calling. She remembered her business teacher in high school, Mrs. Mahar, always told her that she would be a great teacher. But as any high schooler will tell you, she did not listen to her teacher. She was a companion of The Doctor for three years, helped Sam and Dean kill demons, and helped Sherlock with the case of the Baskerville Hounds. But she finally did listen, so in 1994, she went back to the University of Texas- El Paso to get her Post Bachelorette in Secondary Education, Social Studies Composite.
Since 1997, Mrs. Duckett has been teaching in the El Paso ISD, first at Silva Health Magnet and then in 2004 at Coronado, She has taught World History, Pre AP World History, AP World History, Pre IB World History, Inclusion US History, US History, AP US History, Economics, Government, and World Geography.
Finally, Mrs. Duckett has been married for over 24 years!! She is proud that she has not killed her husband yet. This year her daughter Larue will be Junior at Arizona State University in the Barrett's Honor College. She is studying Japanese and Political Science. And will be studying this spring at Hiroshima Shudo in Japan.
